At Cantigny
Categories: Home
Retired Col. Paul Herbert will share stories of some of the men of the First Division who, like Colonel McCormick, served at Cantigny and other places in France. The First Division had 27,000 soldiers when it arrived in France in 1917, and many more joined it as replacements throughout the war. Some became famous and some led surprising lives after the war. Many came here to Cantigny as veterans and guests of the Colonel in the 1920s and 1930s.
