Garden Works Volunteer Training

From 04/18/18 7:00 pm until 04/18/18 9:00 pm

At Wheaton Community Center

Want to make a difference in your community? It's amazing the impact just one hour of your time at a garden build can make for a family who relies on food pantries and wants to grow food at home.

At our Spring Kickoff Volunteer Meeting, you can:

  • sign up for garden builds and garden coaching
  • pick up your 2018 t-shirt (additional family shirts available for a suggested donation of $5)
  • learn from presenters who will inspire you make the best of your garden this year
  • select seeds for your home garden if you are a member of Food Growers Network

Beginners welcome! No gardening experience is necessary to be a garden builder, and it's a great way to learn how to build raised beds for your own home. Got gardening experience? You could sign up to mentor families in your community. We are also in need of volunteers who have pickup trucks to help us deliver bagged soil to our clients. You can sign up for any of these volunteer roles at the meeting and help make our spring garden builds a success! More Info and registration.
