Join The Warrenville Historical Society on Saturday, May 8th at 1pm for an outdoor presentation by the Historical Society’s research team working on our newly launched Mack Lithics Collection research project. Led by Dr. Dale Simpson, Jr., this project has already confirmed that Warrenville has been inhabited for the past 10,000 years! In partnership with the Illinois State Archaeological Survey, Dr. Simpson, our director Sara, and spring interns Sophia Walendziak and Jamie McGinty, will discuss their work to identifying and categorizing the almost 1,4000 stone tools that were donated by the Mack family in the 1980s. The presentation will take place in the amphitheater next to the Museum on 2nd Street. Due to COVID limitations face coverings and reservations are required. You can reserve your free ticket on Eventbrite https://tinyurl.com/mack52021.
