The DuPage Forest Preserve District invites the public to provide feedback on proposed plans for Blackwell, Greene Valley and Waterfall Glen forest preserves at June 11 open houses at each of the preserves. At the June 11 public sessions, District staff will share ideas for the three preserves and get public input on plans for recreational amenities, trails, natural resource restoration, facilities, and infrastructure at the preserves. The plans will result in a series of projects that will improve the natural environments of the preserves and modernize and increase access to popular recreational amenities.
An online survey is also available at dupageforest.org for anyone to view and provide comments on the plans. After this stage, the Forest Preserve District will revise proposed plans and bring them back for one more opportunity for public feedback. The plans will then be revised before they go to the board of commissioners for a vote.Once complete, the master plans will be important tools to guide the preserves’ development and serve as templates for master planning efforts at other DuPage forest preserves.
