Snakes, frogs, toads, snapping turtles, newts, giant salamanders — these animals have a reputation for being “creepy.” But in reality they are amazing animals and pose little risk to humans. Despite old tales to the contrary, toads can’t give you warts and the vast majority of snakes in the upper Midwest are harmless.

Join wildlife biologist John Vanek to learn fun facts about reptiles and amphibians. Vanek will share the natural history of cool species, bust some common myths and misconceptions, and give tips for safely coexisting with these animals.
