Why is there a labor shortage right now, and how does the nature of work change in turbulent times?

Hear from a panel of experts who will weigh in about the legal, economic, gender and talent development issues that impact workers now and in the future. Carl Campbell III, chair of the NIU Department of Economics will discuss economic factors. Michael Oswalt, an associate professor in the NIU College of Law, will discuss labor, employment and workplace organizing. Mahesh Subramony, a management professor who specializes in human resource management, will discuss the changing nature of work. And Kathryn Cady, an associate professor of communication, will speak about feminist and labor politics and the experiences of women in the workforce.
