Growing Great Tomatores

Is this the year that you’ll be enjoying your own home grown tomatoes (and peppers)? You just can’t beat the taste of a homegrown tomato! Those in the know say that 9 million NEW gardeners joined the gardening bandwagon last year due to increased time at home. If you’re one of those new gardeners — welcome! Cantigny can give you a few tips to make this year even more successful for you.

Topics Include:

• Tomato necessities: proper soil, sun, watering, and fertilizer
• Planting and staking techniques
• Common tomato diseases and how to treat or avoid them
• Varieties of tomatoes and peppers

Two each of tomato and pepper plants grown at Cantigny are included in the price of this class. This class is limited to the first 30 paid participants.
